Overcurrent Protection in the Kora Smart Panel

(Hardware Relays + Software Controls) Layered Protection by Design Kora uses multiple independent layers of overcurrent protection to ensure safe operation under normal and fault conditions.

How Overcurrent Protection Works

Kora combines:

  1. Traditional Circuit Breakers
Primary protection against overloads and short circuits, per NEC.

  2. Per-Circuit Hardware Relays
Each controlled circuit includes a relay that can open instantly when unsafe conditions are detected.

  3. Real-Time Software Monitoring
Continuous monitoring of current, voltage, and temperature across circuits.

If any layer detects a fault, the circuit is safely disconnected.

What This Means for You

• Faster fault response
• Reduced risk of overheating
• No single point of failure

Kora always fails safe.
