What You Can Automate

  • EV charging during off-peak hours

  • Battery charging when energy is cheap

  • Load reduction during peak pricing

  • Backup behavior during outages

Creating an Automation Rule

  1. Open the Kora app.

  2. Go to Settings → Automations.

  3. Tap Create Rule.

  4. Choose:

    • Trigger (time, price, outage, battery level)

    • Action (turn circuit on/off, charge battery, limit usage)

  5. Save the rule.

Example Automations

  • “Charge EV only after 9 PM”

  • “Discharge battery during peak rates”

  • “Turn off pool pump during outages”

Why Automations Matter

  • Save money automatically

  • Reduce manual effort

  • Optimize battery lifespan

  • Stay protected during grid events
