Installing CT Clamps and Metering Sensors

CTs provide the data Kora uses for monitoring, export limiting, and backup logic. Incorrect CT installation is a leading cause of commissioning issues.

Code Reference (NEC)

  • NEC 110.3(B) – Installed per manufacturer instructions

  • NEC 300 – Separation of Class 2 / power conductors

  • NEC 725 – Control and signaling circuits

CT Locations

  • Mains CTs (required)

  • PV CTs (if applicable)

  • Generator CTs (if applicable)


Installation Rules

  1. Observe orientation arrows toward the load/panel

  2. Fully close and latch CTs

  3. Route CT leads through low-voltage pathways only

  4. Never extend CT wiring unless approved


Validation

  1. Confirm readings are correct in the app

  2. Check for reversed polarity or zero values
