Code Reference (NEC)

  • NEC 705 – Interconnected Electric Power Production Sources

  • NEC 690.12 – Rapid Shutdown (PV-side, inverter dependent)

  • NEC 705.12 – Load-side interconnections

  • NEC 110.3(B) – Installation per listing and instructions

Requirements

  • UL 1741 SA listed inverter

  • PV breaker ≤ 100A

  • Utility interconnection approval completed

Installation Steps

  1. Install the PV Breaker

    1. Install the PV breaker in the designated AC-PV breaker slot

    2. Do not relocate or substitute breaker positions

  2. Land Inverter Conductors

    1. Terminate inverter output conductors at the PV breaker

    2. Verify conductor sizing per inverter specifications

    3. Torque terminals to manufacturer requirements

Current Transformer (CT) Installation

Install PV CTs

  1. Install PV CTs on the inverter output conductors

  2. Use only the provided or approved CTs

CT Orientation

  1. Orient CT arrows toward the Smart Panel

  2. Ensure CTs are fully closed and latched

CT Lead Routing

  1. Route CT leads through the low-voltage channel only

  2. Do not run CT wiring alongside high-voltage conductors

Verification and Commissioning Checks

App Verification

  1. Confirm PV production is visible in the Kora app

Electrical Verification

  1. Validate CT polarity

  2. Verify no overcurrent conditions
