When you install a Kora energy system, you’re getting more than just hardware. Kora is a full-stack solution that combines smart hardware, intelligent software, and grid services to give you total control over your home’s energy.

Here’s what’s included:

⚡ Kora Smart Panel

The Kora Smart Panel is the foundation of your system. It replaces or upgrades your home’s 200amp or smaller electrical main panel or sub panel and gives you:

  • Appliance / Room (Circuit) level visibility and control in real time.

  • Remote control from the app, so you can turn individual appliances / rooms (circuits) on or off.

  • Backup power management to decide which loads stay on during an outage to extend your battery life to days not hours.

  • Built-in protections like overcurrent and arc-fault detection to keep your home safe and to help you avoid service upgrades.

🔋 Powerblocks

Kora’s Powerblocks combine battery storage and hybrid inverter technology in a modular, scalable unit.

  • Store energy from solar or the grid and use it when prices are high or the power is out.

  • Start small and expand as needed — from as small as 8 kWh up to 112 kWh of capacity across multiple stacks. Each individual Powerblock is 4 kWh and they can be stacked from as few as 2 up to a total of 28 across 4 stacks.

  • High-efficiency lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) chemistry ensures long cycle life and safety.

  • Hybrid inverter manages energy flow between your home, the batteries, solar, and the grid.

📱 Kora Power App

The Power App is your command center for the entire system. From your phone or web browser you can:

  • Track energy use by room, circuit, or appliance.

  • View energy usage in real-time, hourly, daily, weekly, monthly or yearly increments.

  • Remotely switch circuits and devices on or off.

  • Automate schedules based on solar production, peak pricing, or your lifestyle.

  • Get alerts and insights to maximize savings and reliability.

  • And much more...

🔄 Energy Trading

With Energy Trading, your home can join the Kora Virtual Power Plant (VPP) and participate in wholesale energy trading programs:

  • Earn cash by selling excess stored energy back to the grid during high-demand periods.

  • Help stabilize the grid while making your home part of the clean energy transition.

  • Participation is optional and fully managed through the Kora app.

✅ What You May Still Need

  • Solar PV system (optional) — Kora works with or without solar. Adding solar maximizes self-consumption and backup potential which maximizes your savings / income.

  • Licensed electrician installation — all Kora systems must be installed by a qualified professional.

  • Permits and utility approvals — standard for any grid-connected energy storage or backup system. Not required if system is installed permanently in microgrid mode and is grid islanded.

In Short

Your Kora system includes the Smart Panel, Powerblocks, Power App, and Energy Trading access — everything you need to take control of your home’s energy, protect against outages, and participate in the energy grid of the future.
